A Bug's Life

This week's challenge at I am the Diva czt is to tangle a tile around a bug. I decided to tangle and place my bug on that most natural of tiles, a leaf. Early in the fall season, I had collected several leaves. I had coated them with mod-podge and packed them in a ziploc bag. This kept them from drying out and also made the surface smooth for drawing. I used a calligraphy pen and acrylic ink to draw the fine line/vein of the leaf. I drew the dragonfly with white gel pen.

Thank you for stopping by.

Challenge 111: Monotangling Mooka!

This is my take on this week's challenge at I am the Diva CZT which is monotangling Mooka. I almost never do a formal tangle on tile with string. I am more of a zia girl. I did this on a 6" by 8" drawing sheet and so I had plenty of space to take mooka on a wild ride!

Weekly Challenge #97: String Theory vs. No Strings Attached

This week's challenge at I am the Diva is an intriguing concept of doing an entire zentangle tile without using string. I thought I would give it a twirl with one of my yoga art drawing. Usually, my yoga art work is quite orderly in the placement of motifs and patterns. The Diva's challenge provided an opportunity to let the inner doodler take over. It was a fun project and the result (pictured above) pleased me. More than that, it pleased my daughter so much that she bought it!
