Coming-of-age Book List

Bildungsroman or coming-of-age stories is my most favorite genre whether in books or movies. It is only recently did I notice that I had read great many books in this genre and once I realized my instintictive preference, I started making a list of the books I have read or would like to read or re-read and write about them. At present, this list quite a bit skewed towards British and American novels mainly because I was exposed to them from a very early age. But I have started expanding the list to include global literature, novels either written in English or translations from native languages. Non-English works which have been translated into English are indicated with an asterisk. This list includes all types of fiction— literary, crime, fantasy, action adventure and even horror. I will be updating the list as often as possible. If you find a book that should be added, feel free to leave a comment.
