Music Sheet Collage


This collage started with a scan of an actual leaf. I printed the leaf and added lots of doodles around it and which I colored in bright red and purple. I painted a blue dragon fly on the leaf to give the pale yellow some pop of color. Finally, I glued the whole ensemble onto a vintage music sheet. I always liked using music sheet in collages and  below is another piece that I did a while ago.



It was a balmy 54 degree yesterday. The night was cloudless and I was able to take this photo of a waxing gibbous moon.




And today we had this!

    I love your music and nature card. I enjoy seeing how you doodle in many colors, very pretty. The second piece is lovely, too. gorgeous moon photograph. I am glad your snow is not the blizzard that some places are having.

    Hello Indira, music sheets are so versatile in your hands! I think both works are delightful and I especially love the second artwork with the peek-through of the music. Also the use of sewn pieces.

    Your art pieces are so bright and pretty! We had the same kind of weather-it was 62 degrees on Wed. and less than 24 hours later we had 6 inches of snow on the ground-crazy! Happy PPF and have a great weekend.

    A great post Indira! Love your fantastic collages, especially the beautiful colors and designs. I live in Spain in the Mediterranean area and I have not seen snow for seven years ago... so I really like your snow photo.
