These are mandala doodles I created on ceramic tiles that were left over from a kitchen renovation project. I did several of them one weekend. All the drawings were completely improvised and done without any tools except Sharpie markers. They are not permanent, of course. They can be wiped off completely with nail polish remover and replaced with a brand new drawing. This impermanence appeals to me. It makes me bolder in how and what I draw.
Linked to Paint Party Friday. Thanks to EVA and Kristin for hosting.
Thanks for stopping by.
Great job on the circular designs. Surely you used a compass and ruler to make them so perfect.
ReplyDeleteWow what a fabulous idea. I have tons of white tiles. You made each one so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea, and I like that you can remove it with nail polish remover and create a whole different design. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteI love this meditative process! Such lovely outcomes!!!
ReplyDeleteOh boy, doodling these must have taken hours, days...well done!
ReplyDeleteThere are beautiful. It would be lovely to make them permanent. Such a shame to wipe them!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are gorgeous! Happy PPF, Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLovely and fun... can you not bake the sharpy tiles to set them? I think I once did that with a coffee mug long ago! You may want to check that out if you ever feel the need for permanence!! Happy ppf!

there is so much time in each of them... it must be meditative to just work away on them though... sometimes I love doing stuff like that...xx
ReplyDeletethey are wonderfully intricate and I like the idea of impermanence too.

You have chosen lovely colors for your mandalas. The are beautiful and I bet were relaxing to create.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful tiles. I was given a box of tiles from old samples. I though about making something with then, like coasters. Yet I haven't decided and they are still boxed up in the closet. Glad you did something with yours, the are so pretty and colorful! And how nice that you can take off all the paint and start over again. Happy PPF and have a Wonderful weekend. Hugs, Rasz
